Weekend Supervisor

Location: Goodcup - 44 Nunhead Green, SE15

Position: Part-Time (Saturday & Sunday, with occasional weekday cover)

Hours: 16–20 hours per week

We are looking for a reliable, personable, and experienced Weekend Supervisor to join our small, friendly team.

If you take pride in excellent customer service, enjoy the bustle of a busy weekend, and are comfortable leading a team, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the weekend team, ensuring the shop runs smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for our regulars and new customers alike, handling any queries or issues calmly and professionally.

Manage opening and/or closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly met.

Support and guide staff during busy periods, delegating tasks fairly and stepping in to help wherever needed.

What we are looking for

Someone who is naturally responsible and comfortable managing a team with a fair, supportive approach.

A genuinely warm, helpful attitude and a passion for hospitality.

Punctual, trustworthy, and capable of running a shift independently.

Fully available every Saturday and Sunday, with the flexibility to occasionally cover a weekday shift when required.

Previous supervisory experience in a cafe or hospitality environment is highly desirable.

Bartender / Mixologist (Part-Time Weekend)

Launching this July, Mavis is a brand-new listening bar and kitchen brought to you by the team behind Goodcup.

Built around a custom high-fidelity sound system, a curated vinyl collection, and an intimate atmosphere, Mavis is a space where exceptional sound meets top-tier hospitality. We treat our drinks and food with the same level of care and precision as the music.

We are looking for a skilled bartender to join our founding team and help us build the perfect evening vibe from the ground up.

The Role

As part of our weekend bar team, you won't just be pouring drinks, you'll be an essential part of the room's energy. You'll craft carefully considered cocktails, manage the bar with precision, and help set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Your role is to understand our guests, anticipate their needs, and deliver exceptional service with genuine warmth.

Evening Chef

Location: Goodcup 44 Nunhead Green, SE15

Position: Part-Time / Permanent (Thursday to Saturday evenings, plus one prep evening)

Hours: 20–30 hours per week

Mavis is a brand-new bar opening soon by the team behind Goodcup and we are looking for a creative, passionate, and reliable Evening Chef to head up our food offering.

Working in close collaboration with the owner, you will have a genuine say in shaping our culinary identity. We are focusing on an elevated deli offering, beautifully curated small plates, and exceptional bar snacks that complement a great drink menu.

If you are a chef who loves working with top-tier ingredients, enjoys creative freedom, and thrives in a close-knit team, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate directly with the owner to design, test, and evolve an exciting menu of small plates, high-end deli items, and bar snacks.

Run the evening service smoothly and efficiently, from prep to clean-down, ensuring food is consistently presented to a high standard.

Assist in sourcing excellent local and artisanal ingredients, managing stock levels, and minimising waste.

Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety regulations (HACCP) within the kitchen.

What we are looking for:

A proven background as a chef, ideally with experience in small plates, wine bars, or high-end deli/bistro concepts.

A genuine passion for food and the ability to bring fresh, modern ideas to the table.

Someone organised, trustworthy, and capable of managing their own time across prep and service.

Fully available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, as well as one designated evening/day for prep.
