The Space
We’ve put a lot of heart into how the shop feels. The goal was to create a space that’s easy to be in; a bit of a retreat from the rush of the day.
The design is centered around warmth and texture. We’ve paired rich wood panelling and mid-century furniture with soft lighting and a curated vinyl soundtrack to create an environment that feels settled and intentional.
The shop is split across two levels with different rhythms in mind. The ground floor is a dedicated social space; we intentionally keep it largely laptop-free so there’s plenty of room for conversation, the music, and a bit of headspace. If you’re looking to settle in and get some work done, our basement provides a quieter, focused environment.
Find a corner and make yourself at home.
We’ve always believed in doing the basics exceptionally well. We’ve been pouring Allpress Espresso for the last eight years—it’s a consistent, reliable roast that we pair with rich, unhomogenised milk from The Estate Dairy. For those who prefer something a bit different, we occasionally host guest roasters for our filter coffee.
On the counter, you’ll find award-winning pastries delivered fresh every morning. From 9am–3pm, our kitchen is run by Suboca Sandwiches, serving up a menu of fantastic ciabatta sandwiches.
The shop doesn’t stop when the coffee machine cools down. Three nights a week (Thursday to Saturday), the space transforms into Duda Diner, a Malaysian restaurant residency that’s with us until the end of June.
Looking ahead to July, we’ll be launching our own bar and kitchen. It’ll be the new permanent home for our evening service, though we’ll still be keeping things fresh by inviting guest chefs for occasional kitchen takeovers.
Music is a massive part of what we do here. We’re big believers in the ritual of playing vinyl, and you’ll usually hear an eclectic mix coming through the speakers; anything from hip-hop and soul to lo-fi, shoegaze, and even a bit of country. It’s a thoughtful selection that changes with the mood of the day.
If you like what you hear, you can likely find it in our retail section. Most of the music we play in-store is available to buy on vinyl, along with a curated collection of independent magazines. We focus on titles that dive into design, food, fashion, and art.
In the evenings, the shop is available for private hire. It’s a versatile, characterful space that works well for anything from private parties and celebrations to art exhibitions. We prefer to keep things creative and social, offering a backdrop that feels personal and authentic.
Due to the aesthetic our space has also proved popular as a location for film and photography.
We’ve hosted various shoots and crews looking for a space with a distinct, curated feel.
